Privacy Policy

This privacy notice is about how I store information about you and how that Data is stored and what I am going to do with it. All data is stored in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) May 2018. For the purposes of GDPR regulations the “Data Controller” is Ros Welch.

Secure Storage:

I take notes during the work that we do together (process notes), they are coded, first names only are recorded; and your personal information is stored securely and confidentially, either electronically with password protection, or in paper format in a locked filing cabinet. The data collected is used for communication purposes throughout the counselling process.

It may become necessary to share your data with a third party if I feel that you, or someone close to you, is at risk of significant harm. Unless the risk is imminent, this will be discussed with you before appropriate disclosure. I have a legal obligation of disclosure in compliance with a court order, concerns over child protection, and information regarding fraud, child trafficking or acts of terrorism.

Confidentiality is maintained throughout any auditing process, my accountants will only see my coded records, they do not have right of access to my process notes.

Rights to Access:

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, also the right to ask me to amend any incorrect information about you.

Right to Erasure:

You have the right to ask me to erase any information that I hold about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes. In all cases, these rights are obligatory unless it is information that I have a legal obligation to retain.

Data Portability:

You have the right to receive your personal information which you previously provided, and the right to transfer that information to another party.

Informed Consent:

In signing ‘The Small Print’ in session which forms the contract between us, you are also acknowledging and giving consent to the above.
